Just replaced mine for about $10- I traced the shape of the old ones on some ~1/8" hardboard. The only hardboard i could find was pegboard, but i was able to avoid having holes along the edges, so the edges do look smooth. Cut it out with a jigsaw and transfer over the metal clips. If your clips don't lay flush, you might want a layer of foam before the fabric, but I just faired in the jutting edges with tape. Spray with adhesive and hot glue the edges of the new fabric along the back of the new panel. If you have a hardtop, you may want to replace the headliner to match, but I only had to do the doors and rear speaker panels in my vert. I bought 2 yards of fabric and i still had over half left over.
