First, it is entirely safe to drive with the anti-lock light on. All that light means is that the anti-lock system has found an internal fault, and has turned off the anti-lock feature. The normal brake function is mostly separate, and will work just fine.

It is different if you get BOTH the Anti-lock AND the Brake Fluid lights on at the same time while driving. That's a sign the brake boost is gone and braking distances may greatly increase. But only under that condition.

Would I drive the car with the anti-lock light on? Yes. I would even go on a long trip. Based on the description, you have either a wheel-speed sensor that is marginal, or more likely, a simple buildup of gunk in the toothed gear that the wheel speed sensor reads. You go over a bump, that sensor reads differently than the others, and the ABS system flags it as a fault. The light goes on, and stays on until you shut off the car, which clears that fault.

Again, would I drive it without ABS? Yes. I drove cars for years that didn't have ABS. All that means that in slippery conditions, you might lock up a wheel, just like folks have done (and survived, thank you) for decades before ABS. The normal braking action is still in place and works just fine. If you find yourself in slippery conditions - rain, snow, sand, a road covered in ball-bearings - drive more cautiously and give yourself a little more space to brake. Wait - that's the same cautions I'd give if you did have ABS.

Enjoy your trip - keep the top down!
