I replaced mine just yesterday with LED's and they gave just the right lighting (4 mini-LED's per bulb). A bit brighter than the brightest the incandescents got but as mentioned no dimming function. They also give off a more pleasant light, maybe more blue than the yellow of incandescent?
The only problem was the LED wedge contacts were screwy, I blew a fuse before realizing they needed to be snipped and bent a bit to fit the socket properly. Not difficult at all to take care of if you know beforehand to check them.
