They look fine - just like the ones in my '90 SPG did as the head gasket was failing. Never saw water in oil, nor oil in water. Never seemed to lose any coolant, until the end. Then it got a bit too warm, and needed 1.5 quarts of coolant during trip to repair shop. Only real problems were smoke (moisture cloud?) upon startup, and when started it would skip on 1 or 2 cylinders for 20-40 seconds before clearing up. At the repair shop it hydro-locked lightly when they went to start it to move into shop for a head gasket change. Lucky thing it was at the shop! The removed head gasket did not look very bad - coolant must have worked its way around the circular metal ring at the #1 cylinder. We had already changed the turbo, and eliminated a lot of other stuff by swapping, also. Head gasket failure doesn't always result in oil/water exchange.
