Hi Suzanne,

you can make a puller that works, but it will take you and a helper to use it but still pretty easy. If this is the stock clarion radio, there is a hole in each of the four corners. you want to find a coat hanger (or other stonger wire - piano wire from a hobby shop?) that *just* fits in the hole, different wire sizes... get a pair of wire cutters and cut two pieces of that coathanger about 8-10 inches long, not real precise here just about. then take each of them and bent them around something round that is stout, sturdy, a bicycle handlebar is perfect, what you are looking for is a skinny capital "U" that is about 4, or more, inches long. if one side of the U is longer take your wire cutters and trim it to be close, again close is all we need. If one of the tools is longer than the other also no worries.

get your helper and go to the car, plug these into the radio one on the left side and one on the right side, be sure to push all the way home. then your buddy does one side and you do the other, push your tool away from the center of the radio and pull out, slowley, and keep your free hand on the area around the radio to keep in from moving. you may have to do this a couple of times, the real tools have an indentation at the end and the metal is much stronger. CD player comes out the same. Now that you have a general idea of the shape you can look for them on an online auction site too if need be.
