Thanks for that, I'll see what I can rescue. Unfortunately there's no long-term space for the car, we are going to be competing to see who can pull the best bits for our respective projects before it gets scrapped.
Anyway much as I enjoy these cars the spg is really trying my patience right now. The APC wasn't working, but having replaced the vacuum lines last week the APC worked fine - 15psi. But there was a mechanical rattle. Someone suggested I physically wiggle the turbo compressor to see if there was any movement, so I took out a bunch of pipes and did that, and it was fine. Great. Put the pipes back and the APC no longer works ... *sigh*. Checked all the hose clips, all tight, but still only base boost. Took the car round the block this morning and half way back there's a clatter for a second and the car dies completely. It did restart and I limped home half-coasting in 2nd, but for now that seems to be that. Someday I am going to have this car running properly for more than a day, but it's back on the driveway again for the forseeable future just now :(
