That sounds pretty simply..... If you have time, could you try to confirm or shoot down what I'm thinking, Frank? Looked at both distributors - both have 3 wires from internal Sensor to the Distributor Hall plug (Red - White - Black, both in the same order) and the dist. plugs are both labeled in same sequence ( + 0 - ), so it likes to me like the only real difference is the type of plug on the distributor and wiring harness?
According to Bentley, the plug in the wiring harness to both has a wire (gray on '87; green on '90) which goes to Pin 5 of the Ignition Amplifier. Another wire (brown on both '87 & '90 wiring harnesses) goes to Pin 6 of the Ignition Amplifier. And the 3rd wire in the harness appears to be a Shield. So it looks to me like I solder & heat-shrink the Gray & Green wires together, solder the Brown wires together, and solder the shield (?) wires together, and should tbe good to go? Set the timing of course.
Thanks for your input!
