Those bracket mounting bolts don't go through (many of these cars are missing the bracket and bolts entirely without leaking). The twelve bolts which fix the inner driver assemblies (6 left and 6 right) to the main case are all threaded into holes which go right through the main case wall. Those bolts have to be coated with a sealant when they are installed or they will leak a lot and the lowest ones are virtually at the bottom of the diff. case. I've always coated those with Permatex #2 Form-a-gasket (the non-hardening stuff) and had no problems. I suspect that is the source of the leak you are describing. Cheers
