There is a seam that runs the length of the trunk area from right to left under the spare that is non structural - just ahead of this in the middle towards the engine is a lift point. You can patch the seam by welding or as I did with a combination of fibreglass and por 15. There are two other non structural seams in the rear area both under the rear quarter panels.
Not much you can do about the jacking points - my view is avoid using them and find another lift point. You can patch but they are unlikely to ever be the same again. If you have problems there then check all the paint and drain plugs on the underside of car - I am betting these are rusting through too especially on the passngers side.
Basically from what I can tell the main "structure" and the cars integrity comes from the two main "beams" running from the front to back and to which are welded or bolted the engine, the front suspension and the rear suspension - lose integrity in any of these connection points anywhere along the system and your car is in danger.
Everything else is just welded and/or bolted on and more or less can be welded, bolted, fibreglassed back on - in other words repaired by simpletons like you and I - including the floor pan, wheel wells, gas tank and doors.
My car has seen almost 23 years of winters with heavy duty salt and slush and is now held togethre by fibreglass and binder twine - except for these two main "beams" which have kept their integrity.
Car handles great and looks good too ;)
