C'mon Jon... don't leave me hangin'. :-D
I saw the build pics in "Jon's Garage" on NYSOC (simply awesome, BTW). I'm more interested in the how-to specifics. Care to share? It would save me time experimenting. I'm most interested on how you did the "rubber" part.
I was working on mine last night. I sprayed a guide coat, and the upper surface is wavier than I'd expected. I'm painting mine black, so I guess I've got quite a bit of smoothing to do. I'm also trying to decide how to rework the area that goes under the window weatherstrip. I'm considering removing most of the material with a router, then cleaning and contouring it with lots of handwork. What'd you do?
I also noticed that you didn't drill weep holes in the top. No problem with ponding? Or is it not an issue since your car will probably never see foul weather?
