So, the old girl has been running like a champ as my daily driver the past couple of months. However, 2 days ago, I was doing some errands- I parked her, and came back out almost an hour later to find a non-starting vehicle. I figured I must have forgotten to lift up on the brake pedal (the spring/switch is bad, so sometimes the brakelights stay on if I neglect this step). I got a jump, and started home. She started driving strangely; herky-jerky acceleration, etc. I figured I could limp it the rest of the way, but then it died when I was stopped at a traffic light. Got her towed home, and figured the battery just needed a charge. SO, I charged it overnight; it took a full charge with no apparent problem.

No start. I cleaned the battery terminals and clamps, visually inspected the battery cables, and put everything back on. No dice. Then, I took apart the center console and disconnected the ignition wires and blasted everything out with compressed air. Still, no dice. I blasted the ignition lock cylinder with WD40 and worked the key in & out several times as indicated elsewhere on the BB.

I'm not sure what's going on, or where to start; it seems like the whole electrical system is freaking out now. It's started doing this thing where if I press the hazard light button, a strange buzz emits from behind the instrument panel. I can't turn on the headlights or the parking lights, and nothing happens when I turn the key to the "P" position. No radio, no lights, nothing. The lights on my aftermarket cd player blink in a bizarre fashion, and none of the warning/indicator lights on the instrument panel light up until the key is between the "P" and the "R" position (or "G" and "K", respectively in the Bentley manual diagram). And then, only a couple of lights rather than the usual full complement of them that I see for a second. The gauges work at this point, too.

Time is of the essence, as I'm stranded out-of-town at my parents' place. My dad is asking me twice a day when "that thing" is going to be gone. I have to get back home tomorrow night for work, and I'm worried that if I leave it here, it's not gonna be here when I get back. I know that there is rarely (if ever) a quick fix when it comes to electrical problems, but I'm hopin'...
