Dry test 190...190...90...190 Wet test 240...230...130...220 So #3 cyl is down and didnt increase much for the wet test. An increase in compression for the wet test is supposed to indicate a problem with rings? but I cant see this as the compression is too good in the other cylinders. There is oil in the rad resevoir but no water in the oil. The head gasket is obviously blown at the #3 cyl. If there was no increase in the comp of the #3 cyl then that would have indicated a valve problem. Am I correct in assuming that I'm just dealing with a head gasket issue rather than a ring problem? I've heard the bottom end of these motors last a long time and I was hoping to just get the head checked out and replace the various gaskets. CK
