ummm, are you going to do a head gasket anytime soon? If so, have the machine shop where you take the head for checkout do it. The time you will spend, and the opportunity to *really* foul things up is just too great... In order to get at them with the head on the block you will most likely be pulling the exhaust manifold off, and that's about 20% of the work to pull the head, the intake manifold and the head are the other 80%. AND if you have had that many break off already... you should replace all of them with new. eEuroparts has a nice kit will all of the hardware new. Highly recommended.
