I'm not totally impressed by my SPGs Winter weather characteristics. The tires are not HAKKAs, but they are newish and have "M/S" disignation (Yokahama directionals). My rusty, non-garaged, "Winter" SPG has a very slight pull to one side when braking and the E-brake aint all that, but given those traits, I seem to slide around a lot when the snow and ice fly. None of the confidence I have with the Jeep Cherokee. I know, the low-slung SPG ground effects don't help much and the fact that I need a new/hotter T-stat doesn't help much (constantly fighting the fog-up), but ten years of MN Winter driving in this car hasn't impressed me. Now if I had a comparatively jacked-up non-turbo with HAKKAs (spell?) and good heat, that might do the trick.
