I recently posted concerning my 93 900 3-door. (see below), Very cold here in Michigan. Got a new battery.
It started with the fasten seat belt chime going off and not stopping, even when the belts were fastened so I pulled the chiming relay under the seat. Then, it seemed like the radio, rear defroster, and brake lights all went out at the same time. It's my daughter's car so I'm not too sure of the timing of the events. I really didn't investigate the radio and defroster because I wanted to get the brake lights fixed first. The brake light fuses blow immediately upon pressing the brake pedal. I pulled off the lenses in the back and the sockets all appear to be alright. Pushing the braked pedal, with no lights in the sockets, will also blow the fuses.
Now, the tail lights blow fuses. Those worked a couple of days ago. Today, when I turned on the lights, the tail lights went on, not too brightly, then appeared to dim to almost nothing. I started the car, and a second or two later, the tail light fuses popped.
The car starts fine, the headlights, turn signals and hazard lights, both front and back all work fine.
I was going to resort to taking it in to a local garage to see if they could track something down.
Any ideas?
Thanks Again,
Rob
