it should be self explanatory.
locate you old one on your car that you plan to replace, before you get in there and rip it out lay upside down on the driver seat, have a flash light and with you head now down at the feet pedal shine the light on the brake pedal. you will see the brake switch mounted just above the foot pedal, look at it closely, it is adjusted (screwed in) to a certain depth as to be pressed in when the pedal is pushed and then to be off when the pedal is disengaged.
once you see it and look to see how works it will all make sense. your new switch needs to be adjusted to the exact position of your old switch to work.
or its possible your old switch is not adjusted so it dont work at all.
in any case grab a flashlight and take a look.
note: to remove the knee bolster unscrew the one bolt that holds the plastic piece up, and just pull it down. same with the migamush cardboard insert, you,ll see the knee bolster bolt it with the flashlight.
