Crystal Ball into the future of C900 values?

I've been speaking with a bunch of my friends about the values of C900's. While I am sure that everyone would agree that the C900 will never be of extremely high value, save a few spectacular and rare examples (think Prototype SPGs?) - we were debating what impact positive or negative Saab's bankruptcy would have.
The aggregate thinking is that it will boost the values of C900s, not to mention the other older models: 99, 96, etc.
A recent article in Hemmings Sport and Exotic Cars seemed to imply that SPG's are a real sleeper in the collector car market. and that it is only a matter of time before they cars will be of increased attention, collectibility and value.
Despite the fact that the newest C900 is already 14 years old I have seen some cars go for lots of money in the last couple of years.. SiS for $19k, SPGs for $8k, 1994 Commemoratives for $17k.
Even later model 900S cars in great shape are getting $5k.. Heck there's an 1979 GLI on eBay that's already been bid up over $6k (and it has been in an accident and is not original!)
yes, some people are dreamers.. like the seller who is looking for $14k for a decent shape 900S in the classifieds.. but... still??
What does everyone here think?
Do we foresee the values increasing?
What are the pros/cons?
What are the best cars to invest in?
What's the market like?
