Zig... Sorry to get back to you so late. In fact I did have a DMM, and finally got the Bentley manual. There were two problems, I believe. The first is that the antenna mast was slightly kinked and wouldn't completely retract. If the radio was in the tuner position when I shut off the ignition, I think the retractor motor didn't stop running and likely was a major part of the drain. So I rebuilt the assembly and replaced the mast. Amazingly there was brand new one stashed below the spare tire. But that was only a part of the drain.

Next was the harder thing to isolate. I had replaced the ABS pump relay a couple of weeks ago when I started having serious hydraulic boost problems, after replacing the bomb and the ECU with used pieces didn't do the trick. I isolated the problem with the original relay when I removed it and discovered that while the solenoid would engage, the contact points were hopelessly eroded. A local SAAB enthusiast parts supplier sold me a nice new SAAB OEM relay also with four pins in the same configuration. But with the new relay, the 10a ABS fuses tended to blow, brake boost wasn't what it should have been, the brake fluid light still came on briefly with hard braking. And I discovered the relay stayed warm and remained on even when the key was off and out of the slot. So when the Bentley book came I started looked at the wiring codes and found that what should have been red 4 ga on pin 30 (or something) was actually red-white 7.5 ga. So either Bentley was wrong, or thye car was wired wrong. Then Eureka!!! The replacement relay was electrically correct, and the pin configuration appeared to fit. But internally, the pins 85, 86. 87 and 30 were not internally connected to the relay circuitry the way they were on the original relay and I had misread which terminals/wires on the female recepticle were which because i was getting the pin numbers from the diagram on the side of the relay.

I did a work-around by cobbling together a 4-wire cable with spade contacts at each end, and mounted the relay externally, hay-wiring it the right blades to the right sockets. No more battery drain! Hydraulic boos is correct, no more brake fluid light. No more fuses blown!

Still dealing with the ABS warning light permanently, but the quick and dirty download of the ECU using the jumper wire and the blinking dashboard warning light code tells me 1233, no signal from DSF wheel sensor. So now I'm trying to find replacement sensors. An ohm meter across the two contacts on the sensor cable plug near the master cylinder assembly shows infinite resistance.
