No dash lights, no start con't

*Sigh* I changed the starter early this morning before work, and she started up right away. I turned it off went back to the condo to get my purse and then she starter right away again. I thought I was good, got to work and just as I was about to leave at the end of the day...no start-no dash lights-no click.
So its obviously not the starter and from what everyone has mentioned I'm thinking ignition switch? I haven't tried by passing the switch as recommended, cause I'm afraid of frying the control unit, but it seems that it sat for the day yesterday while I ran around looking for the starter and then this morning she worked.
Has anyone ever come across something like this? I'm almost certain that when I go to leave from work tomorrow after having left it there all night tonight and during the day tomorrow she'll start up just fine. P.S. 12.4V at the battery and the starter.
Arrgghh.
