Well the coolant is lower than usual, and there is a nice rim of white oil/coolant goo around the top of the reservoir. The oil looked ok, but if its spitting out the back end then the coolant must be intermingling with the oil right? I also noticed an interesting pattern of oily patches at various places on the valve cover including at the top near the back where there is a plastic splitter connector the name of which escapes my memory, and around where the distributor inserts into the engine. The last time I changed the head gasket I also had a blown piston (the theory of which was I acquired it due to running lean) so the urgency was obvious. How very unwise is it to run the car like this for another week or two? How immediate are the effects of coolant getting into places it shouldn't be? i.e. rusting?
