C900's are on the verge of becoming true collector cars and extra-ordinary cars are starting to bring fairly serious money. Because they don't have a long track record, establishing value is more difficult. Book prices are based on what cars sell for at auctions so they tend lag behind actual value, especially when a car is on the verse of making the transition away from being just a cheap used car. Really nice ones do turn up under the money occassionally, but it's happening less and less. Assuming this car is as nice as it sounds (low mileage isn't always a garrentee)the price is slightly on the high side but not unreasonable. There are plenty of pretty nice cars in the $4-8K range at the moment, but not with 58K. This is one of the more desireable models (last year, stick). In the grand automotive scheme $11K is a three year old Civic with 58K, so getting a beautiful classic with the potential to appreciate wouldn't be the end of the world--you'd certainly come out ahead at some point in the forseeable future (3-5 years).
