So, a month ago, I took the cover off the over-wintered Ed grey SPG and she starting up on the first rev of the starter as usual. I usually have some degree of rust build-up on the rotors/pads but putting it in gear and giving it a jolt usually frees the pads from the rotors. Not this time. It was fighting a little from the front left so I gave her a little more gas a then clunk. The pad sheared in half and one half was still stuck to the rotor and protruding 3 inches past the caliper. Oops. Luckily I have a couple others to drive. My ebrake was a little sticky on this one last Fall (just before storage) and I wonder if that was the culprit? I don't know the extent of caliper/rotor damage yet as I've been avoiding the examination. So, just a freindly warning to fix/disengage ebrake before storage and don't force it if she won't break free initially (use penetrant). I wonder if this has happened to any other fellow TSNers.?
