I would go with pad+rotor replacement (both left and right).
A similar thing happened to me this winter when I left my car at the shop for tranny service and this very service lasted for 3 months. We it was time to take the car from outdoors back to inside the shop to put tranny back inside - we were not able to move it a bit. Nor 9-3 210 hp Vector. Nor 280 hp 4WD Turbo-X, lol!
But in my case those "clunks" were about pads unstuck from rotors, not breaking into pieces. And, btw, I had to drive for about 2000-3000 miles before vibration, that started to happen when braking after that, disappeared. Although anyway it looks like now it's the time to move to 9K brakes, but that's a new story.
