I have an 83 900T with a holey gas tank and noisy fuel pump. I also have a perfectly good tank (with good pump) from my late 87 900S.
I have the tank out of the 83, and am planning to replace it with the one form the 87. What is involved in using the pump assembly from the 87 in the 83 tank?
From reading postings, I understand that since the 87 had LH 2.2, the pump should work - beyond the obvious (reconnect lines, reinstall new tank) are there any common problems or non-obvious steps I need to observe to do this right?
Thanks
