Take the mounting bolt out of the coolant expansion tank and the tensioning bolt out of the alternator. That should give you enough wiggle room with the components to get your hand and a wrench in there under the master cylindar. I put the socket on a swivel joint and then connected that to a 12" extension and snaked it through by the ABS accumulator. It's tight, but workable. BTW, if you are in the rust belt, don't even try to loosen the bolts on the old shock to get it off. Just cut off the rubber bushing inside the wheel well and cut the shock shaft there up near the top above the dust shield. I used a cutting wheel on a die-grinder. (Even if you're not in the rust belt, this may be the best method).
