I carefully studied the responses while at work today and spent five intense and focused minutes in the driveway when I got home.

I'm using the test-plug connector so the voltage will be reading 0-13, not 0-1.

Indeed, Anders' suggestion to disconnect the FPR vacuum connection produced a similar response as disconnecting the NTC sensor; the meter reading came to life from a static .72 reading to swinging between 0-13. Reconnecting the vacuum sent the number back to static status.

I started carefully dialing the AMM adjustment screw clockwise. On the 6th complete turn, the meter number starting fluctuating between 0-13. I watched it for a minute, then blipped the throttle a few times. The number then slid back to the static .7.

So I kept dialing in another turn at a time. At 8 turns, the numbers were steadily fluctuating at idle and after returning from a yank on the throttle.

I'll be curious to see if I notice anything in the driveability (it was doing pretty good up to this point). And I'll be intensely curious as to its next round on the smog machine. I will post results when the next chapter breaks.
