check the sensor unit screwed into the upper left side of the rad (looking out towards the front). Clean to a nice brassy shine the two prongs and the connectors. If that don't ;) fix the problem, then check your fan relay which is clipped to the inner left hand side (on my model) of the engine bay - it causes the fan to run on after your engine is turned off. It may however somehow have shorted out. Check this site for ideas on how to fix.

Finally - do you have AC? Is is possible there that its on (which cause the second fan to come on. Maybe its shorted out?
