US models with Bosch parts use a -005 AMM on the LH2.2 cars, which are at least 1986-1988. I got an upgraded Fuel ECU chip from Jak Stoll and he suggested to put in the -573 ECU from a 1987 and not the one from a 1986, he preferred the 87 (which had the -573 pn suffix and perhaps the other a -518? all guesses right now) as it "would react faster" to the fuel requirements and had a faster CPU... or something like that.
I think somewhere in your posts you said LUCAS? That sounds like a non-US model, but bet you already knew that... I believe that all of the US c900 turbos least use -005, or -012 AMM. Just checked my cache of AMMs and I have 005, 012, 013, and 019 and know that the 019 is for a 2.3 9000 turbo. Your 017 number is new to me.
There is a great chart around here somewhere, I can't find my copy of it (lots of color highlighted stuff, *very* complete), and bet it will set us all straight on what is supposed to be what.
