I've had good luck using owner operated body shops for chassis welding. Since it isn't going to be cosmetically perfect they usually don't charge much. I would say $100 - $200 is fair enough. They have seen it all, since, after all, they repair cars that have been in wrecks.
Now, if you live in a area with actual chassis welding shops that would probably be better.
