Just so I'm clear: the transmission donor is the 1985 N/A, and the recipient is the 1989?
1: You need the earlier axles, as they will have the smaller tripod bearings. You cannot install the smaller tripod bearings on the later driveshafts (or vice-versa). Alternately, you could potentially swap the inner driver cups from one transmission to the other. I say potentially, because I am not 100% certain that they are compatible between Autos and Manuals, and I don't have my parts guides handy.
2: Saab sold an adapter, if you will, to install the non-hydraulic mount on to the chassis that is set up for the hydraulic mount. I don't have the part # handy, but it's a standard part, because they kept the rubber mounts for the 8v and non-turbos. If you find the front mount for a non-turbo 89, that should cover it.
