Bob, CS hall sensor can often be heat sensitive. As you know it's not the easiest area to get to. May I suggest what I have often about hall sensors at the crank. Next time it stops, sray some of the freeze type computer dusting spray down into the CS hall sensor area and see if that makes it start. Have also had simular problems with spark intesifier (magnifier that sits on the drivers side inner fender.Once you have determined it's not the spark magnifier, get an older style distributor for the 900S that has the hall sensor.Install the distributor following standard install info in Bentley. Disconnect you wiring at the 3 prong plug from the CS hall sensor. Get an old head light wiper blade motor and remove the 3 prong plug. wire the distributor haal sensor wiring to the 3 prong plug and plug it into the original wiring that goes to the cars original hall sensor wiring. This seems difficult, but it isn't and I can send you the wiring colors to splice if you want to do this. I think it is a lot easier to do than replacing the CS hall sensor. I have 2 of my post 1989 900S's running this way. When I have to go into that area of the CS pulley for seal or pulley replacement I MAY change the hall sensor.
