Hi there,
I hope you can help with a nasty problem. Since 2 weeks the antilock and brake fluid lights of my Saab 900 classic 16v (1992) are always on. The brake pedal is very hard and only with a lot of effort the car will stop. This problem came up suddenly after the car stood still for a couple of weeks. Before that time the brakes and abs were fine.
Brake fluid is good, no leakage. The fuses are OK, I replaced both the pump and ecu relays but no difference. When I replace the pump relay for a jumper the pump starts pumping and after a short time the brake pedal is feeling normal again (good pressure). The plugs connected to the abs unit are nice and clean.
What can it be? Maybe the ABS ecu itself? Or the pressure switch? Everything seems fine form the outside, but it is not :(
Thanks!!
Regards,
Wouter (Amsterdam, the Netherlands)
