#294 is the Pressure Switch and #299 is the Level Sender. G16 is the ground point near ABS hydraulic unit while G5 is the ground point under the rear seat.
#293 is the pump relay and #297 is the pump itself.
The system works the following way:
#1 power-assisted brakes. Pressure switch toggles the relay to maintain the system pressure within 140-180 bar range. If the fluid level drops then level sender breaks the pressure switch connection to ground so the pump doesn't come on (pump dies if working w/o fluid). This will also bring (!) light on.
#2 ABS part. See pins #9 and #10 of #291 socket (it's ABS ECU). Both level sender and pressure switch can break this circuit if there's lack of fluid (pins 2-1 of level sender #299) or system pressure is too low (pins 3-5 of pressure switch #294): if there're no brakes then there's nothing to be locked so we don't need anti-lock function. In this case you'll see ABS checklight on your clocks.
Wouter,
please proceed with that troubleshooting posted earlier and report. Also you'd better be careful with it: I don't know if it's '+' or ground potentenal that runs in 9-10 of #291 circuit but if there's positive voltage and you get a good ground there with a temporary wire then you'll have to search for a new ABS ecu. So don't screwup with those connectors, pins and wires. And refer to the diagram below to doublecheck that I didn't screwup with this stuff either.
