As I recall Mark, you indicated it was a turbo, so there must have been a conversion. Some telltale signs would be no turbo boost gauge on the instrument cluster....look for conversion to the APC system. Your 1988 vert has all the wiring and such, so if the Aero was converted to a true turbo, then it would have a different wiring harness ( to include the APC box ), a different ECU -- the correct ECU box part number would end with 948, and lots of other little things .... crank hall sensor should have changed up to the distributor, and on and on.....I am sure there are other things more obvious to those that have done one of these conversions.
