or vapour lock
two distinct problems - different solutions - depending on how hot is hot it could be vapour lock
need to check pump check valve,leaky injectors, fuel pressure regulator and so on to ensure that fuel is not vaporizing in the line
if its running lean - check for vacuum leaks first on every possible line in the engine bay, check for leaks at the intake and exhaust manifold etc
lean can also be a function of timing and poor fuel delivery related to relays and faulty injectors
my advice? keep it simple and check for the simple problems first - good fuel delivery, all vacuum lines intact and connected
