First off, you guys have been -so- helpful and kind with answering my questions in the past. Thanks a lot.

I was in a fender bender, and my headlight broke. I finally found a new headlight, but it doesn't seem like it will fit into the black bracket. The bracket looks like it was previously broken as I found the old headlight was partially wired onto the bracket, and it was broken. (Although it could have broken in the accident. It -was- wired, though..)

The headlight I received has three star-head screws in it. The one I took out had two long bolts with funny plastic knobs on the ends. The other point was held on with metal wire. I took a photo of the replacement headlight and the black bracket, and I've circled the spots. Further, the bracket has one weird bolt on it (the part that was connected with wire): It doesn't seem to be threaded and it has, like, a knob on the end of it. I have no idea how to remove this without breaking the bracket, which is already kind of creaky.

Is it advisable to duct tape or use foam adhesive to put the headlight in? The parts place I bought the headlight from said that others had done basically anything necessary to get the headlight to stay, and I believe he mentioned spray foam adhesive. Would you please advice me? I'm in NYS, and I've already gotten two tickets for the headlight. I basically can't drive at night until I fix this thing. Thank you so much, again!
