I'm a Saaber but also have a Jeep Cherokee I also love:) I want to use a seat heater element from a '86 Volvo 240 to install into the Jeep door so it doesn't freeze up so I can't get into the car at night:) the heater element I salvaged from my old Volvo seat, it'a just a longer piece of wire with zero resistance. If I just hook it directly to the battery it will just short it out. Does anyone know what resistance I should hook up to it so I can just run it to the battery? My 900 seat warmer switch in the dash doesn't work I just found out so can't measure its resistance if any, but if anyone would know for sure of a size and maybe type of resistance I should wire in please let me know thanks...asap answer would be great, I really want to go up to the mountains fast as 7 ft fresh snow just fell in Tahoe :))!!!
