Clutch R&R update #2 & more questions

The car is an 89 900T, 160K.
Inserted the spacer tool against the pressure plate fingers (used #6 bare copper wire suggested by CMyles, made a nice loop out of it by winding the wire around a 6" diameter jug); it went smoothly, the loop seemed to have seat it self.
Removed the three bolts for the slave cylinder (some one changed them to external hex-heads, which interfered against the slave cylinder bellow, will change them back to internal hex head).
Romoved the six bots for the clutch assembly. But it still binds to the flywheel tightly, even after using a screwdriver to pry it. What did I miss?
There is a big concern. I turned the flywheel three revolutions, counterclockwise, facing the flywheel, to reach the bolts (loosening them, removing them and one more revolution to pry the pressure plate from the flywheel). Heard chain movement several times, each time no more them 5 or 6 clicks. Is there another problem lurking somewhere?
Thanks
