Bulbs are naturally a big part of the formula. I have two different types of ecode headlights. One set had special bulbs with a separate relay, and heavy duty wiring to connect to the bulb element. The carrier assemblies are gray plastic and there are clips surrounding the headlight to hold the ecode lenses on. One caution is that you don't get them from Europe -- the right hand drive cars cast a light path offset for driving on that side of the road, so unless you are in one of the countries that drive on that side of the road, I would try to source them in Canada. The Hella receipt in the box was $700USD new for a complete kit that included two exta lenses for future replacement. I found these for $250 and they were the bomb. I bought another two for $250 and they were junk as the internals were broken but the seller refunded. Make sure the internal attach points are secure and the lenses are not sandblasted -- I don't know if you can find the replacement lenses or if they are even available.
