that's the thing, if the pressure hose is gone it will act the same as a bad slave... let me find a pick of the hose im talking about (insert 20 min. here...)

this is brand new for 58.90 and this price is at cost, #2 is 89.90 for the slave, also at cost. your mechanic will charge you double for the parts + labor, best thing you can do is buy the part and bring it to who ever is installing it, but by doing this you need to locate the faulty part. picking up the hose at a pick&pull (i.e.junk yard) would only be max 10 bucks but the part is a used item and may blow 2 day after installation)
im just mentioning this because of the question you asked about how much would the fix cost. as you can see the cost can very from a few bucks to a few hundred bucks.
