I have the engine and autobox out of our 88 900T, engine needs work. It shifts fine, but was leaking bottom front of assembly, appears to be the pump shaft seal. I researched to no avail on how to fix, Bentley says nothing. Haynes only mentions adjusting bands etc. It looks like I would have to split the case to remove the seal behind the converter? I have a spare T37 that has a bad final drive to practice on. Is this job really that hard splitting case and can I do this myself or should I not even try it?
