This society has lost the fine art of shifting WITH a clutch, let alone shifting without it...
Yes, you have a fluid leak (BTW- there is no "light" for clutch fluid). It could be in the MC, but it also could be in the rubber part of the clutch line. They get old, and they develop a pinhole, and one day, no clutchee... BTDT. Twice.
Two choices: New line via dealer or online parts house or see if a local hydraulic shop can take your whole line, and install a better flex part in it.
You need to check the rubber part of the line to see if that's your leak. You'll see it just behind the radiator, going to the clutch cover. You didn't say which model Saab 900 you have, but on turbos, you'll probably have to remove some tubing and pipes to see it.
As for bleeding, the best is a pressure bleeder. EEuroparts has them for around $50. If you plan to do any brake or clutch work, you need one. An alternate is a spare brake reservoir cap with a schrader (tire) valve mounted in it, and a bicycle pump. It doesn't take a lot of pressure to move the fluid through open lines and bleeders.
