Shipped my '91 Saab 900 to Germany two month ago. Still driving it on US plate thanks to German ADACAutomobile Club. They offer a 'Grenzversicherung' 105 Euros for 30 days, valid allover Europe. Anyways, I had to replace my signal lever as well and got it from eEuroparts before I moved to Germany! ALL SAAB PARTS ARE 30-50% more EXPENSIVE OVER HERE! You can install it without taking the steering wheel off, but it is a pain in the b.... Best bet to get a new one is at Skandix.de or try to post on/or look for a used one at http://www.forum-auto.de/ and http://www.saab-cars.de/ In addition to get the TÜV sticker you will need to have a fog rearlight installed. That can be wired to one of the existing rearlights, but it needs to have it's own switch. So if you have front fog lights, you can not attach the rear light to the same switch! Next, you need the German headlights, the US are no,no over here. You can get a used pair for about 75-100 Euros, make sure to get the one that are NOT beam adjustable. Otherwise you must wire them as well to have an adjustable light beam. Law here since 1989 or so. In addition you need to get a new KAT if you have the turbo: http://matrix-partikelfilter.de/portal/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=29&Itemid=35 You must get the right emission sticker, otherwise there is no driving in bigger cities such as Berlin, Hamburg, Düsseldorf etc. If you have the S version with the 2.1/ B212I engine you need this: http://www.wedde-car-service.de/saab-abgasnorm.html Good luck!
