never had to do it (yet). There was some recent discussion on the quality of scantech valves, and that they 'may' have fixed issues. Look at that stuff. The labor is the issue, so don't want used/refurbed and don't want inferior quality. Not the kind of job you want to be going back in for in 6 months. Would be a great time to switch out the dash, work on the stereo wiring, replace blower motor, etc, if you go in from the top. Get a fixed quote from a saab shop if you don't want to do it yourself. Good news is that you won't need the heater for 6 months (probably getting warm in Oregon about now?), and it doesn't hurt any to have it rigged like you have it now. Good Luck-Nick
