I have a quick belt chirp usually when I start my car in cool temperatures, then it quickly ends and I don't hear it until the next cold start.
I don't know where the chirp is originating. I'm wondering if it will continue now that the warm season is approaching.
In installed a new balancer about one year ago and my belts look fine also. I installed urethane alternator bushings about 18 months ago and they disintegrated pretty quickly. There's not too much slop in my alternator at the moment but I decided a couple of days ago to just tear it all down and swap in new bushings when I have to replace my power booster, which suddenly died on me last week. I might drop in new alternator belts at that time, too.
I'm curious if anyone else can chime in on these symptoms.
