I feel it depends more on a cars condition and on your personal preferences on the '87 up integrated bumpers or the flat nose as Jeff says and of course SPG or non-SPG. To me totally rust free would be the first thing, there are lots of them around however you would probably have to travel a long distance and or pay a bunch for transportation depending on where you live. I see the countless hours and $'s Saab folks spend on rust repair which I really do admire but here in California I have people wanting to practically give me rust free C-900's all the time. I just don't have room for any more Saab's plus I already have four C-900's, two 9000's and one 99 plus my whole turbo shop to transport to New York as it is! Also I feel that the pre-'91 900's before GM started taking over are a better choice! I only have one (a '92) and even though it's a low mileage car it has way more issues than even my '86 that of course has higher mileage. To me the earlier ones are much more solid cars as well! As far as a CE I've never owned one but with a '94 year model you would have a better chance of finding a real low mileage car and I do believe in paying a bunch extra for real low miles and no rust! I paid $15,000 for my '90 900 Aero factory Air Flow car not just because it had every option including a whale tail but because it only had 33,000 miles! As far as C-900 5 speeds go what really kills them is when their bearings wear the gear engagement decreases which causes total failure when running all the extra power these awesome little 2.0 turbo's can be easily be made to make!
