Clutch problem - mystery to me

I own a 1993/4 900S 2.1 5sp conv.
In February of this year I had the master and slave replaced, all has been fine until last Thursday afternoon.
When I was attempting to downshift, the clutch pedal went to the floor, luckily I was able to get the gear shift into neutral and coast to a stop on the side of the road, popped the hood and found the hydraulic hose cracked at the flexible end by the MC and all fluid drained out. I got the car towed back to my place, next day bought a new hydraulic hose installed it, filled reservoir with fluid, charged the system using my power bleeder pump (to 10psi) all connections look good, no fluid leaking - but I can not get the pedal back to a firm, strong stroke. And now there is fluid dripping down from the MC and off the oil pan.
What is wrong?
What do I do wrong? - HELP
Thank you in advance from your response
