Gator,
What you are experiencing is probabaly normal. It is called cowl shake. If it is a wobble sensation or a flex/quiver: it is normal. From lack of a roof which makes the chasis sturdy, that is the result.
The first time I drove a 900 convertible back in 1993, I thought there was a problem unitl my mechanic said- "they all shake".
After a while, you get use to it.
Even though, it has been disputed here, the feel of the later C900 convertibles seam to have less cowl shake.
I imagine if they were hit and repaired at one point, the cowl shake might be worse.
