Gator,
Are the rattles coming from the roof? That is a whole different affair. Perhaps the roof needs to be adjusted. Are the handles on the ends tight? I recall I had rattling on top, and it turned out that top needed a tigher adjustment to the windshield. It was easy- simply opened the top, and spun the hook once, and all was nice and tight.
A convertible is not much worse over bumps than a hardtop: that you would wish to get rid of it. It only exhibits cowl shake from time to time- maybe on a sharp tight turn, etc.
C900s in general are rough riding automobiles over bumps. There are no struts up front. One can feel even road markings with a C900. Is this your first 900? or have you driven others?
That said: even tires make a big difference for some are softer than others. What type of shocks are on the car?
Welcome Gator
