I just did some work parting a 900T convert yesterday.
Pulled the relays for parts.
I didn't need to drop the knee bolster
pulled the kick plate from under the door and horizontal trim at front of door...to release carpet..
pulled carpet down and pulled 3 torx screws to remove ECU 2 easy one difficult.. pulled ECU and could just see relays high above its placement..
was able to get a torx driver and remove back side screw. (closest to door)
and could spin down relay holder and pull relays.. you may be able to test from there..not sure.
And yes removing knee bolster would make it a lot easier but a whole lot more time consuming.
